Lets begin with an example of Rocket if he were human. If any of you know my brother Nick as a child...this is the perfect example; running around, licking odd things and never ending spasmatic movements. Well many would think that dog sitting is basically letting two dogs cohabit in a nice big backyard while they smell each other's marked areas and run around like like mad dogs. Well in a town home, we don't have those luxuries and let the dogs remain inside. Let us first clarify that we are not saying this wasn't a fun experience...yet the pure energy of little Rocket never ceases to amaze me..and I think will forever bother Lucky. Janessa ran a half marathon today and so Ben asked us if we would watch Rocket over night. I agreed, and over came little Rocket. Well my first mistake was to feed him some people food (rice) which he threw up. Then we had to make a trip to the store, so we let him sit in his kennel while we were gone. But, before we even left, Rocket was making the noice of a Velosa Raptor and looked like he was about to break right through his cage. Later that night, we put him to bed and to exceed my expectations...he was quite silent. Only a few minor little whimpers. Well this morning, we let little Rocket loose to go potty and this is what we saw (watch the video)! He is sooo funny! Not only did he pee while running...he pooped and didn't hold still for one second! Imagine a dog pooping and walking around trying to sniff another dog? Yup- that's Rocket! So like I said, dog sitting is much more involved and entertaining than baby sitting. :)
